Wak Wak Solar Farm
TE H2 are proposing to build a solar farm and battery energy storage system (BESS) with a capacity of approximately 2.7 gigawatt-peak (GWp) near Darwin in the Northern Territory.
The Wak Wak Solar Farm is expected to supply competitive, reliable, and dispatchable renewable electricity to existing heavy industry in the Northern Territory.
To help understand the project approval pathway, TE H2 will be referring the project to the Northern Territory Environmental Authority (NT EPA) and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water.
The Wak Wak Solar Farm is the first phase of potential larger green hydrogen production and export project on Middle Arm (Darwin H2 Hub) and will ultimately provide the solar generation for the Darwin H2 Hub as well.
